Organize the site around customer questions
A business site should explain who you help, what you offer, where you operate and how someone can contact you. Create a distinct page for each substantial service, with concrete scope, relevant examples and an accurate next step. Keep company details consistent across the site.
Move business content without losing its meaning
- Back up the site and create a staging copy before switching themes.
- Inventory service pages, company information, case studies, staff profiles and contact forms. Save existing page addresses and menu structure.
- Choose a maintained theme that makes headings, text, calls to action and forms readable on small screens. Check keyboard navigation as well as appearance.
- Rebuild any theme-specific layout as editable content, and test every form and contact link before publishing.
Preserve relevant destinations
A link about a particular service should reach that service, not a general sales page. Keep the same page address where possible. If the address changes, make a direct permanent redirect to the matching service or case study.
Review title tags and summaries after migration: describe the actual service and company, without copying promises, testimonials or credentials from a former owner. Remove outdated offers and keep any genuinely useful explanations.
Launch checks
Check navigation, contact details, forms, consent wording and error pages on the public site. Verify that important service pages are indexable and included in the sitemap. Monitor missing-page reports after launch to catch overlooked links.
